E-commerce marketplaces have become focal points of regulatory and geopolitical contest confronting the European Union with structural challenges around product liability, market surveillance, and consumer protection. In a confidential setting, we will discuss how enforcement toward third-country platforms can succeed without disadvantaging European players, and what role platforms must take on in customs, product standards, and market oversight.
